Please email Pat at: fford@ telus.net or 250-478-4387 CELEBRATION OF LIFE COORDINATOR If you would like to hold a Celebration of Life at the Centre for a loved one, please email Pat at: fford@ telus.net or 250-478-4387 . ******************************* Membership fees for 2023/2024 $123.00 A current membership is required to attend classes and participate in our centre. Seniors experiencing financial difficulty may apply to the L.I.F.E. Program. Proof of total household income and residence in the supporting municipalities ( View Royal, Colwood, Langford, Metchosin and Highlands) are required upon application. If eligible, WSPR may waive ½ of the annual fee. This is at the sole discretion of WSPR and is kept confidential. Contact West Shore Parks and Rec if you are not able to pay the full membership fee - you may be eligible for a reduction of fees. Trial Pass- In September for those wanting to try the Centre before joining - $25 for one month - Non- renewable. A Guest Pass is available for persons visiting from out of town and is issued on a monthly basis to a maximum of three months. See Reception for Trial Pass and /or the Guest Pass *************************************************** Would you like to lead a class or participate in a specific class; if offered? Contact the webmaster (jdfwebmaster@gmail.com) Examples: social dance, square dance, biking, public speaking, group travel, baking / cooking. ********************************* Please take all personal property home with you when you leave the Centre. We cannot replace or repair personal property that is stolen or damaged, as our insurance policy does not cover possessions of our members, only items belonging to the Centre and listed on our inventory. |

Based on the beloved holiday movie with a clever twist. The story is staged as a live radio broadcast, actors portray numerous characters and take on sound effects. George Bailey a generous and well meaning man, has become too downcast and tired to continue living. It will take help from a loveable angel to show George. What life would be like if he wasn`t born for George to have a change of heart and understand the true spirit of the holidays. Lunch not included. ********************************** JDFSeniors CREATIVE WRITING GROUP The JDF Creative Writing Group consists of members of the JDF Seniors Community who enjoy any kind of writing. We meet every Tuesday morning from 9:15—11:15 am in the room at the back of the stage. Our meetings involve sharing the work we’ve done and giving each other positive, constructive feedback. Experience as a writer is not a requirement. Some of our writing is displayed on the following pages in the JDF Seniors website, under the STORIES tab.
